To make the cost comparison, you’ll have to add the cost of your home, utilities, taxes, food, insurance, entertainment, and maintenance together. Many people have never taken the time to tally up these expenses. If you do, you will better understand the value of what we offer.
Can You Afford Senior Housing Long-Term?
Another common concern is running out of money before the end of life.

What if I Need Financial Help?
Even the best plans cannot anticipate everything that might happen in the future. If costs are higher than anticipated, it does not mean you will have to move out of an Encore Community. We accept Medicaid reimbursement payments from residents who are able to pay the monthly service fee and care costs privately for two years. If you believe you might need to access this program, ask about our Two-Year Medicaid Spenddown Program.
Former military members might qualify for Aid & Attendance if they served during a period of active conflict. This program is offered through the Department of Veterans Affairs. Additional resources include:
